Start with clean hands. Wash your hands with soap and warm water to remove any dirt or grime. Pat them dry with a towel before applying the cream.

Less is more. You don't need a giant glob of hand cream. A dime-sized amount is enough for most hands.

Focus on the driest areas. The back of your hands, knuckles, and fingertips tends to be drier than your palms. Apply a small amount of hand cream to these areas first.
