FREE of the major toxins found in conventional polishes such as formaldehyde, toluene, DBP (phthalates), formaldehyde resin, TPHP, camphor, xylene, parabens, fragrances, silicones, acetone, mineral oils, propylene glycol, ethanolamine, and animal ingredients.

Although nail polish can never be completely natural because it still contains solvents, modern polishes are full of toxins and you breathe them in, as well as absorb them through your skin every time you paint your nails. This is significantly worse if you have your nails done at a salon. POOFY POLISH does NOT have any of the major toxins! The major toxins found in nail polish are:
Toluene- A human reproductive toxin.
Formaldehyde- A known carcinogen, plus they pickle dead bodies in it. YUCK!
Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)- Known to cause infertility, uterine cancer, testicular cancer & fetal defects just to name a few!
Camphor - Poisonous & can cause liver damage.
Propylene glycol- antifreeze, used to de-ice airplanes
Fragrance- can contain thousands of untested chemicals
Silicones- hormone disruptor
Parabens- estrogen mimicker
Ethanolamine- organ system & reproductive toxicity
Mineral oil- made of petroleum
Acetone- irritant
Xylene- an ancient ingredient found in polishes – damages the central nervous system.

Our safer Ingredients: Butyl Acetate (organic compound used as a solvent in the production of lacquers), Ethyl Acetate (organic compound, colorless liquid used as a solvent in flavorings etc, Nitrocellulose (a fiber used for viscosity), Isopropyl Alcohol (dissolves nitrocellulose), Adipic Acid/Fumaric Acid, Titanium Dioxide (natural occurring oxide of titanium, mined from the earth), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (a salt used in making blue pigments), Mica (made from sand used for colors), Iron Oxides – (a principle ingredient in pigments ranging from yellow through red, and from purple through black), Tin Oxides – a polishing agent. May Contain: Acetyl Tributyl, Stearalkonium Hectorite, or Citric Acid

It works

December 5,2020

I have bendable thin nails. I can never ever grow them out. But I’ve been using this as base coat when I want polish or even just by itself. Ever few days I just apply another coat on top!  My nails are now the longest they’ve ever been and I’m using this under very clean nails too. I wouldn’t say they are now hard, but noticeably less bendable!  And dries fast! Thanks for a great product.

My favorite product!

July 13,2017

I have never had a hardener/strengthener stay go on so nicely and stay on so long! My nails are naturally flimsy so I always like to have coat of something on top and this stuff is my new favorite.

Pleased to find this option.
Re: the hardening topcoat ... Titnanium dioxide, I hear does pose health risks ... explain the other oxides please.
Thank you!

Hi, thank you for the review.  Although nail polish can never be completely natural,  POOFY POLISH does NOT have any of the major toxins! Titanium Dioxide and iron oxides are necessary to color and blend the polish.  The only way to avoid them is not to use any cosmetics.

LOVE this stuff!!

June 7,2016

I LOVE this Nail Hardener! I have nails that can sometimes be brittle, too thin and "bendable", they crack, peel, break, you name it!  BUT...that's all gone now that I wear the Nail Hardener polish every day! I have tried others but they usually peel after just a day.  This polish stays put! I wear it as is when my nails are a decent length and the white tips are all about the same.  But when I want some pop, I throw on the NH polish and a color that suits my mood! :-)  Love the HUGE variety of colors too ;-)
